DIY Makeup Setting Spray

Setting spray is a must have product in every girl's vanity case. But the best setting sprays are expensive and some of 'em can't afford to buy it. So I've decided to share with you a very easy and cheap DIY Makeup Setting Spray that is just as effective as the expensive one's. This DIY setting spray is so much easy and fun to make and I use this spray EVERY SINGLE time I do my makeup, I am not kidding, I just love this spray so much that I just don't want to buy any other spray.
So let's just start with some basic questions,

What is a makeup setting spray?
A makeup setting spray is a spray which is used to spray on your face before and after doing your makeup so your makeup stays in place and it does not fade away.

Do I need a setting spray?
Most probably yes. If you're a makeup lover, then you definitely need this. But if you're the one who is not much into makeup and stuff you don't need it, but I recommend this to everyone whether you're a makeup lover or not because its just good for you and it keeps you fresh.

How to do it:
Ingredients:
1. Glycerin
2. Rosewater
3. Water
4. Funnel
5. Empty spray bottle

From left to right: A small bowl, an empty spray bottle, Glycerin, Rosewater, Measuring spoon

Procedure:
For small quantity:
  • Take a small bowl and add 2 tbsp of glycerin to it. Glycerin helps in keeping you makeup in place.
  • After adding glycerin add 2 tbsp of rosewater and 2 tbsp of pure water to it. The water should be pure drinking water and not tap water. Rosewater is used to add fragrance.
  • Mix this together
  • Take your empty spray bottle, open it and place a funnel on the mouth and now add this mixture in the bottle with the help of funnel.
  • Store this in a refrigerator and keep on changing it every week.

For large quantity:
  • Take a small bowl and add 4 tbsp of glycerin to it.
  • After adding glycerin add 4 tbsp of rosewater to it.
  • Mix this well
  • Add this mixture in an empty spray bottle with the help of a funnel.
  • Now fill the remaining empty part of the bottle with pure water.
  • Store this in a refrigerator and keep on changing it every week.

How to apply it:
Use this spray in 3 steps in your makeup routine.
First apply your moisturizer and primer and let it set for a minute or two then spritz this spray all over your face and let it dry. Do not spray too much, just 3-4 times is enough. Then after you're done applying  your foundation, concealer, setting powder, in a nutshell after you've done your base, just spray it on your face and dab it with a makeup sponge or a beauty blender. You'll get a smooth finish and your base won't look cakey and now when you're done with your full makeup (ie. from your primer to your blush) it's time to set all your hard work ie your makeup. Spritz it all over your face, remember never spray too much. After you've done spritzing, let it dry and you're good to go.
You're makeup will surely stay in place for hours and it won't smudge or fade away unless you decide to remove your makeup with a remover.

So with that I am done with the DIY makeup setting spray, I hope you guys learnt something new and I can't wait to see you making your own. If you did then don't forget to comment down below.
