So the first question that most of the people may have is what exactly are blackheads? how do they look like? are they harmful? Well, don't worry, I've got all your questions covered.

What are blackheads?
Blackheads are small bumps that appear on your skin due to clogged hair follicles. These bumps are called blackheads because the surface looks dark or black. Blackheads are mild type of acne that usually form on the face, but they can also appear on the back, chest, neck, arms and shoulders.
Similar to blackheads are whiteheads except for the fact that the surface looks white. They are same as blackheads.
Below are ten masks to remove black heads easily.

1. Egg white and lemon juice peel off mask

Ingredients:

1. Egg white of one egg.
2. One teaspoon of lemon juice.

What is egg white?
An egg consists of two components a yellow color yolk and a white slimy fluid surrounding the yolk is called egg white. So now that you know what an egg white is, let's see how to separate it from the yolk.

How to separate egg yolk from egg white?
Take on egg. Now at the apex of the egg carefully make a small hole or a crack using any pointed thing like a knife or something of that sort. After the hole is made, just turn your egg upside down and automatically all the egg white will come out of the hole into the bowl thus separating itself from the yolk. The white slimy fluid that you get in the bowl is called egg white.

Procedure:

To the same bowl containing egg white add one teaspoon of lemon juice. Beat the egg white and lemon juice and mix it well for about 2-3 minutes. Now apply a thin layer of this mixture on your nose or the area where ever the blackheads are visible with the help of brush or your hands. Now place a tissue paper on this layer. Now apply one more layer of the mixture on the tissue paper. Let it dry for about 10-15 minutes and then peel off the mask to remove the blackheads. You'll see small, minute processes on the tissue paper.   Then wash your face with a mild soap or face wash.

Apply a thin layer of this paste over the blackheads and then press a strip of clean cotton over it. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Then remove the cotton strip steadily, you'll observe small black spots on the cotton strip which means your blackheads has been removed by cotton. Then wash the area with cold water and don't forget to follow up with a good moisturizer.

Tips:

  •  Always moisturize your face after applying any one of the packs mentioned above.
  • Apply your pack instantly after making it. Do not keep it longer or store it in a refrigerator, otherwise you won't get desired results.
  • Always do a test patch before applying the pack directly on your face.

What is a test patch?
Test patch means to test any of the packs you are going to apply on the face on the hands first and then on the face in order to get to know if your skin is allergic or sensitive to that particular pack. Apply small patch of the mixture onto the back of your hand and leave it for 10-15 minutes, if you feel a tingling or itchy sensation DO NOT apply it on your face, if you don't feel anything then you can go ahead and apply it all over your face. Remember test patch is very important.

Disclaimer:

Always do a test patch first before applying any of the packs above. As everyone has different type of skin nobody really knows to what or how your skin will react. If it works for me it does not really means it will work for all of you. So its necessary for everyone to do a test patch first. I personally do it for every single DIY's. Better to be safe than sorry.
